A blog (or online journal) is a means of organising material in chronlogical order. The latest entry (known as a post) is always the first to be read. Earlier posts are archived by time and by a subject classification, which you decide.
This is an example of a free WordPress blog, hosted for free on WordPress.com. Alternatively, you can host your free WordPress blog on your own website, providing you’ve got database facilities.
The visual appearance of the blog can be edited so that it conforms to your website’s colour scheme, fonts, logo, etc.
The blog will be a subdomain of your website, having a web address (URL) of the form, blog.mywebsite.co.uk. In a similar way, this blog is a subdomain of WordPress.com, namely, jb6996.wordpress.com.
